There are many options to traveling to Selayar Island.
Public transportation Makassar – Selayar route serving passengers through the Mallengkeri Makassar Terminal for Bus and Mini Bus Travel that can pick you up
from your location for example (Airport or Hotel) and those are operated every day. The route passes through several districts to arrive at the Bira Ferry Harbor for the next trip from Bira Harbor by ferry (ASDP) to Pamatata Selayar Harbor.
Travel time from Makassar to Selayar Island is approximately 8 – 9 hours including the ferry crossing which takes approximately 2 hours. If you want a new experience enjoying the natural panorama along the way and then crossing the land using a ferry, this option could be the choice.
1. Bus, Travel or Drive & Ferry (ASDP)
Depart from Mallengkeri Makassar Terminal at 12pm (00:00 WITA) and arrive at Bira Ferry Harbor at 6 am (06:00 WITA)
The price of a bus or travel mini bus is Rp. 250.000/pax (including ferry ticket). You can also use private vehicles. For motorbikes the ticket price ….. and for private cars Rp. 500.000

Depart from Mallengkeri Makassar Terminal at 12pm (00:00 WITA) and arrive at Bira Ferry Harbor at 6 am (06:00 WITA)
